On-site Consultation

To meet with the constraints of lenders and insurance companies, we will come on site to measure art or artifacts, determine sizes, support structures, mounting methods, esthetic considerations and production schedule.

Mounting methods may be determined by the curator or on staff conservator.

All components are then made in our shop to the above specifications and delivered to the institution for installation.

Components

We can supply any or all materials needed for an exhibition.

Frames

We provide hand made period reproduction frames; closed corner frames with antiqued 22karat leaf or painted finishes from the 15th century to the present. See Period Reproduction Frames

We have thousands of moulding choices; both manufactured moulding and finishes, and custom milled moulding and finishes. All pricing for exhibit work is based on our contract framing price schedule.

Support Structures and Matting

We will use buffered cotton rag board for matting as well as supports unless otherwise specified by the institution. We can also use zeolite (micro chamber) board if specified.

Glazing

Aside from UF-3* UV filtering plexiglas, we supply:

  • OP-2* UV filtering acylic
  • Regular clear acrylic
  • UV filter glass
  • Anti-reflective (silicon-coated) glass (optional UV filter)
  • Amiran* laminated anti-reflective UV filter glass
  • Picture glass

*UF-3 and OP-2 are both cast acrylic with UV filtering.
