FRENCH MATS

We make french mats to order or use our own designs with rag mat board. All the examples pictured below are of our own designs. If accurate information is available, we can also make historically authentic reproductions. We can also make copies of existing mats from a sample or photograph.

All of our specialty mats are made with 4-, 6- or 8-ply rag mat board. All pigments are inert and are spaced or lined with 2-ply rag to prevent the transfer of pigments to the artworks.
